The Post is currently holding a drive to collect items to send to Military Personnel serving in the Armed Forces especially those in Iraq or Afghanistan. If anyone knows of Men and woman in the Military please call one of the officers listed above. Some of the items requested are as follows. Batteries AA and AAA CD's and DVD's Pringles Chips Powered Drink Mix Telephone Calling Cards Canned Peanuts Small Packaged Crackers/Peanut-Butter Microwave Popcorn Dry Soup Mix/Microwavable All items can be left at the Farms Fire Station or by calling any of the American Legion Posts officers. It will be conducted in conjunction with the annual Christmas tree burning at West Beach. If you have any worn, torn and unserviceable flags they can also be placed in a bag and dropped at the Fire Station or again call one of the officers above. The Legion is now preparing for our traditional annual Memorial Day Parade to be held on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 0930. The Legion invites all Veterans to participate in the Parade, in or out of uniform. We also invite the public to attend this small but humble parade To read the moving address by Ralph Coluntino, delivered at the 2013 Memorial Day Parade, "Mr. Paul Fiore and the Battle of Guadalcanal", please click here.
